Charity Nomination

Help your favorite local charity win $500!

2010 Charity Voting Rules

  • Charity must have a 503-C IRS Status
  • Charity must have local – Low Country Offices
  • Only Low Country Residents shall be allowed to vote
  • Only one vote per person/per Charity each month
  • Voters may receive future emails regarding our charity program only.
  • Charity may win only one time yearly except for accumulated voting award.
  • Method to determine monthly winner:

We have changed the method of determining the monthly winner of our donation for 2010.

In 2008 our donation was awarded to the charity that received the most votes during the month (which seemed to penalize the potential of smaller charities).

In 2010, we will select the winner of our donation by having a random drawing at the end of each month. Charities will receive one (1) entry in the drawing for every twenty (20) votes received during month. Example: Charity receives one hundred votes; they will have 5 entries in the drawing. We realize that the charities that get a large amount of votes will still have some advantage with this method , but, ALL charities will have a better chance to win (that receive a minimum of 20 votes) as this will be a RANDOM DRAWING of qualified charity names. The last Donation for the year will for the Charity with the HIGHEST accumulated votes for the year.

  • Number of Monthly donations:

Based on our Company financial status, it is our intent to have a $500 drawing each month, PLUS a bonus award in December for the Charity with the HIGHEST accumulated votes for the year.
